๐Ÿ“ Coming Soon: Notepad in EchoBase

We're introducing Notepadโ€”a simple, built-in space where you can jot down ideas, draft content, take notes during chats, or store quick thoughts without leaving EchoBase.

Think of it as your personal scratchpad, always accessible and always tied to your workflow.

โœ๏ธ What is Notepad?

Notepad will provide a lightweight, persistent space for freeform writing. You can use it to:

  • Take notes while chatting or working on a project

  • Store ideas or to-do lists

  • Draft messages or responses before submitting

  • Keep track of key info across sessions

๐Ÿงช Planned Features

  • ๐Ÿ“ Create and edit text notes within EchoBase

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ One global Notepad accessible across chats and projects

  • ๐Ÿ“‚ Optional project-specific notepads for focused note-taking

  • ๐Ÿ’พ Autosave your notes in real-time

  • ๐Ÿ“„ Rich text formatting (bold, bullets, headers, etc.)

  • ๐Ÿ” Copy or move notes into a chat, prompt, or project

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Enterprise & Collaboration Support

  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ Enterprise users will have the ability to:

    • Create shared notepads within Projects

    • Enable team notes visible to project members

  • ๐Ÿ” Permissions: choose between private, shared view, or shared edit

๐Ÿšซ Not Included in Initial Release

  • No version history or note syncing with third-party apps (e.g. Google Keep, Notion)

  • No note linking/tagging in phase one

  • No mobile editing support initially (view-only)

๐Ÿง  Why Notepad?

We know that thoughts donโ€™t always arrive in orderโ€”and switching apps to capture them breaks flow. Notepad will give users a dedicated space to think, sketch, or planโ€”without cluttering chats or losing context.

๐Ÿ“… Timeline

Notepad is in the concept phase with design exploration underway. Development is expected to begin this quarter, with release targeting mid-2025.
