Tasks are designed to help you and your team track action items, assign responsibilities, and follow through on work across chats, prompts, and projects.
Tasks are simple, actionable items you can create, organize, and track across your workspace. You’ll be able to:
📝 Create to-do items linked to chats or projects
📌 Attach tasks to prompts, chats, or files for context
✅ Mark tasks complete as you make progress
📅 Optionally assign due dates or priorities
🔗 Share tasks with team members or collaborators
👤 Assign tasks to specific users (Enterprise only)
🔔 Notify others when a task is created or updated
🧩 View task activity inside related Projects or chat threads
➕ Add tasks manually or through slash command (/task) in chats
⏱️ Set deadlines, priorities, or tags
🧑💼 Assign tasks to yourself or others
🗃️ Filter by project, status, or due date
📤 Share tasks or lists with a public or team-only link
🔁 Track task progress within Projects or your dashboard
No Kanban or drag-and-drop board view (planned later)
No recurring tasks or dependencies in the first release
No third-party sync (e.g., Notion, Asana, Trello—coming in future integrations)
EchoBase is evolving from a reactive AI chat experience into a proactive workspace assistant. Tasks help you:
Stay organized across long chats or ongoing projects
Assign and delegate action items to reduce follow-up
Maintain momentum between sessions or teams
Task functionality is in early planning. Design and development are scheduled to begin in the next quarter, with phased testing to follow.
